Miami Ink Tattoos - Stories Behind Selecting Great Tattoo Designs

Miami Ink is a reality TV show, on the Learning Channel (LTC), filmed on location at South Beach, Miami. It takes you behind the scenes so you can see and experience the real emotion of getting a tattoo and what they mean to the people getting inked. The show exposes tats for what they really are - a means of self expression that have deep significant meanings for the people getting them. Based on the diverse range of people getting inked, it becomes very obvious that it is popular in all corners of society. While some of the clients are experienced and have already got a number of designs, we also get to watch people getting their first body art, and the process they go through as they try to develop an idea into a design.

The real beauty of the show is listening to the stories that the people provide behind why they are getting their tattoo and what the particular design means to them. Most of the stories are truly inspiring. The show allows us inside so we can watch from the moment the client enters the parlor through to the completed work of art. We get to live the experience as the client works with an idea to develop a completed design, then watch as they get the artwork and finally show off the end product, stunning body art. It is amazing to watch.

For anybody thinking of getting their first tat, the show is a great way to see how others start with an idea and work with that to slowly develop the end result. You get to see the evolution of the design, the thought process behind it and the final product. You also get to see how people select where on your body to locate the body art, a very important decision that you must get right. You get to see first hand how hard it is to get a really good design.

Miami Ink, through TLC, even allows people to apply to be auditioned to go on the show. They require you to have a good idea of what design you want before hand, and which artist you want to be tattooed by, but you could be inked on the show and become a star!

Behind each individual story are the artists that provide continuity from one show to the next - They are Ami James, Chris Garver, Darren Brass, Chris Nunez and apprentice Yojiro Harada. Their different characters are a good mix and you get to see the artists as they work and also play. They provide the entertainment to keep people tuning in the following week, to watch as new clients walk in the door with an idea and watch the idea turn into a stunning tattoo design to be proud of.

Sexy Tattoo Quotes For People in Love

Tattoo quotes are becoming quite fashionable these days because they are so personal. Especially sexy tattoo quotes for lovers can help to take the relationship to a higher and more permanent level. Here are some of the most popular sexy tattoo quotes for people in love.

When you are in love getting a special tattoo can be very personal and endearing. In the past many people chose to get pictures or drawings that were a symbol of their love for each other.

Today that is changing. More and more people in love are getting quote tattoos that more uniquely reflect their feelings for each other and about the love that they share. They are finding that the right words can be even more powerful than a picture. The perfect tattoo saying that speaks about the love one person has for another can be very special and hold significant meaning for the relationship.

If you are thinking about sexy tattoo quotes, there are many to choose from. The following should help get your creative juices flowing. They are short, sexy and extremely meaningful.

"Love is the Poetry of the Senses"

When one is in love, at one time or another, all the senses are affected and alive with pleasure and enjoyment. These tattoo words seem to reflect that best.

"Love Puts the Fun in Together, the Sad in Apart and the Joy in a Heart"

When you are in love the time you spend together is what you want and desire the most. Love should be and is fun and fills a heart with happiness and joy. But when you are apart that's when there is a void and the heart feels sadness.

"Love is the Master Key that Opens the Gates of Happiness"

Everyone wants to be happy. We are meant to be happy. And the best way to find happiness and be truly happy is through love.

"Love is, Above All, the Gift of Oneself"

When two people are truly in love there is no more honest a gift they can give to each other than by giving themselves. This goes beyond just intimacy and also means giving in thoughtful caring and selfless action.

Bloom and Shine With Colors of Flower Tattoo Designs

Bloom and Shine With Colors of Flower Tattoo Designs

The trendiest amongst female tattoos are certainly the flower tattoo designs. Gentle leaves and stems usually remind of gentleness in women and their femininity. It is not of common knowledge how many floral designs are available. It is even less known about all those flowers and their particular meanings. Whenever you decide on getting a tattoo, be sure that a certified and skilled tattoo artist deals with your skin. It does not matter what part you are going decorate with these beautiful body arts. Important thing is that you do not regret it due to poor hygiene in performance. Keep in mind that applying your favorite flower onto your skin is very painful. Remember - once you might wish to take it off. It hurts, as well.

However, more and more women get their bodies ornamented with this beautiful and ancient body art of tattoo. Celtic crosses and Sanskrit are getting more popular by each day. On the other hand, women will still decide on flower tattoo designs. The reasons may be many. As in language signs, flowers also have their specific meanings. A carefully chosen flower certainly reflects the attitude of its bearer. A rose is never similar to lilac or daffodil - they all carry different meanings.Women decide on flowers for other reasons, too. It is not only about the significance of meaning. It is about a fabulous choice in shapes and colors. Whenever it comes to flowers, they are certain the tattoos will be perfectly harmonized, colorful and eye-catching. It is not a wonder these designs retain their popularity. It is a challenge in choice of colors, shapes and meaning. For this reason, some women will go for various combined designs. It is not rare seeing a beautiful rose or a lotus flower, combined with a snake, thorny tree or simply leaves. However adventurous the choice is, every woman is certain once she chooses her favorite flower and the tattoo design. It is practically impossible not be original in picking such designs. They are always modern, yet stylish and gentle on a woman's skin.

What actually makes floral tattoo designs so different and wanted in comparison to others? It is the mere ability of the bearer to express personality with choosing the most adequate flower. With fabulous colors included, the results are absolutely outstanding. Flowers are like human beings. Once born, they are destined to bloom, ripe and eventually die. It is no wonder women like to relate themselves to flowers. Through literature and other lines of art, women were usually related to flowers, as gentle and cherished as only flowers can be.

If you've answered yes to any of the above, then you really need to keep on reading.

So, where do all the great tattoo artist get their ideas? Well, many artists spend hours and hours working on their own original designs. Of course, this drives up the final price of your tattoo. However, many artists also use a little "help" and go to design sites that provide thousands and thousands of designs for them to then, use on their clients.

It's a action that is often used that this shouldn't be a surprise to most people. But, what if you could cut about 30-40% off the price of your tattoo? A small tattoo the size of a credit card can cost up to $120. Anything bigger and you will be looking at a very costly piece of artwork - that may or may not be original. A price cut of 40% of 120 can save you $50 bucks. Not much, you think. But multiply by any size that's bigger than a credit card an your savings could be more.

Should you use free designs? Well, you always get what you pay for. So, if you plan on investing a lot of money - not to mention a design that is going to be on your body for the rest of your life, you should consider investing about $30 bucks on a good tattoo design.

Cherry Blossom Tattoos - What Do They Mean

Cherry blossom tattoos are some of the most popular tattoo designs for women currently. The beauty and delicate nature of a cherry blossom can't be denied. In both Japanese and Chinese cultures the cherry blossom is full of symbolic meaning and significance. Before deciding to get a cherry blossom tattoo design it makes sense to understand the symbolism and deep cultural connections and meaning that this tattoo might hold. After all the best tattoo designs are ones that hold a great deal of symbolic significance. Typically the tattoo that is universally regretted is the one that was gotten while out with a bunch of friends just because they were getting one. So don't fall into the trap and regret your tattoo later in life. Instead if you are planning on getting a tattoo at least take the time to research the symbolism and meaning behind it and see if it speaks to you and if the ideas are significant in your life.

While many people tend to blend and confuse the Japanese and Chinese culture together from lack of knowledge the two are very different in many ways. Therefore the meaning and symbolism that the cherry blossom holds is different in each culture.

Chinese Cherry Blossom

For the Chinese the cherry blossom is a very significant symbol of power. Typically it represent a feminine beauty and sexuality and often holds an idea of power or feminine dominance. Within the language of herbs and herbal lore of the Chinese the cherry blossom is often the symbol of love.

Japanese Cherry Blossom

For the Japanese the cherry blossom holds very different meaning. The cherry blossom is a very delicate flower that blooms for a very short time. For the Japanese this represents the transience of life. This concept ties in very deeply with the fundamental teachings of Buddhism that state all life is suffering and transitory. The Japanese have long held strong to the Buddhist belief of the transitory nature of life and it is very noble to not get too attached to a particular outcome or not become emotional because it will all pass in time.

The fallen cherry blossom is not taken lightly in Japanese symbolism either. It often represents the beauty of snow and there are many connections made in Japanese literature or poetry to a fallen cherry blossom and snow. This also has been extended to the life of a warrior whose life was ended early in battle.

As you can see in both cultures the symbolism and meaning behind the cherry blossom is very significant and powerful at the same time. It is important to think about these symbols and connect this with what your personally believe the cherry blossom represents. If you still want to get a cherry blossom tattoo and the above meaning from the Japanese culture or the Chinese culture do not speak to you or you're somehow view the cherry blossom in a very different way then it is okay to still get a cherry blossom tattoo. However, it is always important to know the symbolism before getting a tattoo permanently done.

Angel Wings Tattoo Design Or Celtic Tattoo Design

Picking a tattoo design is a tough gig. This lifetime decision will have to be made after careful due diligence. Two of the most popular tattoos among the masses these days are the angel wings tattoo and the celtic tattoo. Both breathtakingly brilliant in design and pleasing to the eye, these ink jobs will both boost your self esteem but also make you one of the beautiful people. Below I discuss both options.

Angel Wings Tattoo Designs

For purely spiritual reasons only, more and more people these days are getting angel wings tattoo designs done to represent their beliefs etc. This goes for both men and women. This style of design has a deep and meaningful background hence it;s popularity with the spiritual person.

Angel Wings Tattoo For Women

For the woman, having this tattoo is a symbol for your quest for being pure within your soul. Having a feeling of importance in regards to your self confidence is another factor. it is only when your self esteem is at its highest that you truly believe you are beautiful and therefore you radiate that.

Mens Tattoo with Angel Wings

Seeing angel wings tattoos on a guy usually indicates his love and respect for women. He wishes to be the protector of the love of his life. He places women on a pedestal and wants to be there for them and his feelings and love for a woman is deep.

In the 80's and 90's it was popular to get the stock standard angel wings tattoo design done on the upper arm but that trend has changed the last 7-9 years. More people are getting them placed on their backs. Some span the entire back area while others are smaller and appear on one of the shoulder blades. The size is irrelevant but the meaning remains the same.

If you see yourself as a guardian or protector and truly believe that good will always triumph over evil then an angel wings tattoo is the way to go for you. Luckily there are numerous designs available today for you to pick from. Sit down online with your partner and go over the available designs on this page to start your search for your angel wings tattoo designs.

Celtic Tattoo Designs

Celtic tattoo designs. Should I or shouldn't I? If it is a simply fascinating tattoo you are after then the answer is yes. If cost is the issue then no. While most celtic tatts are outstanding in design they can really stretch the budget due to the intricate lines and curves the tattooist has to ink and the time frame in doing this.

Once you have made the decision to ignore the cost factor your hardest decision is picking the design that best sums up you. Because there are literally hundreds to choose from your head could be spinning from choosing which one to have. Luckily, this site makes it as simple as possible.

The majority of people who get celtic tattoo designs are descendants of people from Great Britain such as the Irish, Scots and Welsh but more and more people are getting them for the pure brilliant look of them.

The most popular are the knot and the cross though there are many more to choose from.  A word of caution here though. Be prepared to sit in the chair for anything over 5 hours, These particular designs take time to ink due to the complexity of the lines and curves being intertwined.

One thing is certain here and that is if you elect to get a celtic tattoo design you will not regret it as they are probably the most beautiful of tattoos any man or woman could get. Being a member here will make picking your design easier and with the ability to talk to other members, making your decision on which celtic tattoo design will be made more simple.

Full Sleeve Tattoos Styles

An elaborate arm tattoo or full sleeve tattoo can speak volumes for your strength of will and commitment. The art is not just being flaunted by a number of celebs around the globe today, but also by people of ages and across cultures. In fact, sleeve tattoos styles are the most popular types of arm tattoos known yet. The reason why they are referred to as sleeve tattoos is that they are so elaborate that many pass off for extensions of the apparel sleeves. The sleeve tattoo designs can be as elaborate or simple as you want them to be.

They function as more than just arm tattoos, they are part of an art that covers a whole area of a body part. The fact that these tattoo designs can be flaunted to cover the whole arm with little or no skin showing makes them unique. There are a number of online as well as offline resources that make the tattoos styles available in your own time. These resources also offer you a virtual experience prior to indulging in the real thing. The sleeve tattoos styles and designs are very intricate. They get more and more complicated as and when you keep adding to the integrated design.

Not only are they extremely colorful, but they can also be customized to flaunt several images, designs and patterns. It is not uncommon to find members of rock bands flaunting sleeve tattoo styles. Members of both genders show off the art on their arms as well as legs. There are a number of popular sleeve tattoo ideas floating around for those interested. You could take your pick from tattoos with cherry blossoms and samurai designs to floral and animal prints.

The art thrived in Asia in the ancient times and the showcasing now gives you the unique opportunity to bring that culture back to life. Women are known to flaunt many floral designs like flowers interwoven with tendrils and leaves in bright colors. Among the floral designs in sleeve tattoo styles preferred by men and women are the hibiscus and rose. The designs differ very subtly or not at all for feminine and masculine patrons.

Now, depending on personal preference, Celtic tattoos with their unique knots are making the rounds. Displaying the intricate and highly detailed knot work displays style and charisma. There are animal tattoos interwoven with the knot work in Celtic tattoos to give you the tribal tattoo feel. It pays to access guidelines like the use of heavy black lines for the outlines and vegetable based colored ink instead, to make your tattoo styles a little different.

The tattoos can be very complicated and expensive. The extent to which the art can be kept open for future add-on differs from one tattoo artist to another. Getting yourself a good sleeve tattoo is not a difficult task even if you have to go back to the tattoo shop frequently for other subsequent sessions. You can even avail of festive discounts given by tattoo parlors to get the art done on your arm or leg in a cost effective way.

Shocking Truth About Sexy Tattoo Designs!

What is up ladies? Are you looking for that perfect sexy tattoo design that has some sex appeal? Maybe you are looking for a sexy place for that tattoo and do not want to do the normal "tramp stamp" on the lower back. Good looking and sexy tattoo designs can be easy to find but first lets point out some of the best places for new ink.

The Hot Spots

Now I am a man and my wife has several tattoos so let me be the first to tell you where most if not all men think a tattoo looks sexy! Here are a the most recognized places for a sexy tattoo design:

Back of Neck: This gets me and my buddy's wild. When a women goes to lift up her hair for any reason and a tattoo is present.....this is great to see. For some reason, a tattoo and the bottom of women's neck is just sexy. Do not confuse the neck with a tattoo that is clear view like the side of the neck. That looks trashy! Surveys show that most men think that the neck is a very sexy part of the women' body. Enough said!

Upper Back: Just a few inches lower than the back of the neck. A sexy tattoo design here also turns on a lot of men. You want to be careful of placement however. I was at a wedding and the bridesmaid had a tattoo there and was not covered up. That was not so hot but most tats can be covered up with special skin cream for formal affairs. This is a great place if you want something a bit larger.

Hips/Pelvis: Yes, we all know this area is sexy. Getting a tattoo just below your belly but about 2-3 inches off from the center of the belly button is very hot. My wife has one here and it turns me on every time I see it. The hips are also a great place. If you leave it stick up just above the waist line and wear a low cut shirt in summer...you will defiantly turn some heads....in the good way.

Ankles: Any sexy tattoo design on the ankle or the top of the foot is hot. The only down side is again with the formal affairs. Nobody wants to see a 45 year old with a faded tattoo on her foot at a Christmas Party or Wedding. Skin creams and tattoo cover up cream can be applied to distract from the ink however.

Wrist: Very hot but would not recommend. Our receptionist at work has one hear and it is not very flattering when we have high priced clients come in. If you work at a bar or a factory where this is not a problem...go for it. If you have a professional job I would steer clear.

Thigh: Sexy tattoo designs here are great. Nothing gets a guy turned on when you have to lift up your shorts a bit to show off your new art. Most clothing will cover this up so no need to worry. When a swim suit is worn you better watch out for a busy night of guys flirting with you!

Side: My 3rd most favorite spot but watch out! Ouch! I have a tattoo here of my friend who had passed on. We always said we would be at each other's side so what better place to have a picture of him. This hurt and gave me tears but every person I have ever met who seen this gave my nothing but great compliments!

The font is a very important factor since it will establish the uniformity of all the characters. When finalizing your own design, make five samples for each so when asking an expert tattoo artist, it would be easier to know which one is really hip these days and what suited best for you.

People tend to like that so they will always express their love through it by having someone special's name on their skins. Some people who long for their loved ones who had passed away, express their love for them through name tattoos. A tribe for example, may use tattoo inks to determine their loyalty for each other.
